此画案选材黄花梨，面攒框镶独板，冰盘沿，下带束腰，牙板宽大，边缘起阳线与足部起线相连，牙板精雕螭龙纹。较为特别的是腿足，王世襄先生称之为矮桌展腿式，此种形制并不限于方桌，可见同种造法的半桌。腿部纹饰之下为光素的圆材直腿。桌面底部设穿带支撑，出榫，下设霸王枨。整体用料考究，结构大方得体。造型简练舒展，俊秀高雅，古朴端庄，为典型明式风格，通身散发出古典家具独到的韵致，置于厅堂书房，可体现主人高雅情趣，令人回味。 参阅：王世襄，《明式家具研究》图版卷乙59，三联书店（香港）有限公司，1989年，第86页。
