本件玉雕運用整塊黃玉雕琢兩隻鯰魚緊緊纏繞，環抱在一起，首尾相連。「鯰」諧音「年」，「魚」諧音為「餘」，以表連年有餘或年年有餘之美好祝福。玉雕玉質溫潤，色甘黃如栗，局部帶天然糖色。匠師利用天然色澤表現魚紋，生動有加。刀法細膩，構思巧妙。全器用料奢侈，造型簡練生動，雕工細膩，線條圓潤流暢。通體包漿自然，光氣精良，具有清代風格特徵。
