题识：山居消夏图为云荘仁兄大人雅属，畏庐林纾写。钤印：畏庐（朱）林纾（1852～1924），初名群玉，字琴南，号畏庐，别署冷红生，晚号蠡叟、践卓翁、六桥补柳翁、春觉斋主人、长安卖画翁，斋号春觉斋、烟云楼等，福建闽县（今福州）人。清代画家，诗人，翻译家，以意译外国名家小说见称于时。平生以译书为业，鬻书画文章自给。晚年定居北京，著述繁富。为海派代表人物之一。著有《畏庐文集》、《畏庐诗集》、《春觉斋题画跋》。
