A SMALL BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN 'BIRDS AND FLOWERS' BOWL, KANGXI MARK AND PERIOD China, Kangxi period (1662-1722). The deep rounded sides rising from the short foot, painted in underglaze blue to the exterior to one side with a small garden with potted plants and to the other with two birds in flight above leaves, to the interior with a flower and leaves within a double circle, covered overall in a transparent glaze save for the cafe-au-lait rim, the recessed base with an early Kangxi-period floral mark. Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and firing irregularities. Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland.
