绿度母是藏传佛教所奉二十一度母之一，为观音菩萨所化现。在二十一度母中，绿度母是其主尊，绿度母心咒也是二十一度母的根本咒。 此像头戴五花冠，头顶束高发髻，面相圆润，神态慈和，身着天衣和绸裙，周身严饰璎珞，半跏坐于莲花宝座上，左腿横盘，右脚下垂踩莲花，右手置右膝结与愿印，左手置胸前结安慰印，手中均持有莲茎，莲花盛开于双肩，造型优美，形象庄严,充分表现了度母慈悲与智慧双圆的宗教特质。
