狮面佛母原是西藏苯教崇奉神祗，被莲花生大师降伏后，成为藏传佛教的重要护法神。此尊赤色怒发如火焰般竖立，头戴五骷髅冠，狮面上具三目，呲牙吐舌，呈忿怒相。上身袒露，帔帛飘拂，胸前饰璎珞和蛇形长链，项挂五十鲜人头鬘。右手高举钺刀，左手当胸捧嘎巴拉碗。腰围虎皮裙，右脚屈盘，左脚弓立于外道邪魔之上。下承单层覆莲座，造型规整。整像量度精准，做工精细，展现出清代造像注重宗教义理准确的艺术特色。
