此玉琮为黄玉质，局部有红沁，形制与常规玉琮有所不同。玉琮中间开孔极大，不见外围方形，应为常规玉琮的变体处理。玉琮上下边缘去地形成凸棱，外缘分饰四组弦纹，弦纹均匀且平直分布，中间区隔部分光素无纹。整器做工细致，特别是口部边缘的处理，平滑圆润，一丝不苟。黄玉质地细密，油润十足，造型特殊，确为稀见的玉琮品类。
