On offer is a large pearlware pitcher with pink lustre and blue band enamel decoration. The lustre scene shows what appears to be churches in free-hand house decoration style. The large pouring spout is molded and the wide blue band around the neck makes a pretty colorbination. The pearlware glaze is very bluish as expected from this period and as can be seen on the bottom of the piece. A very appealing, decorative item in a room. Dimensions: The height is 6 5/8" to the top of the spout and 6 1/4 to the top of the rim. The length is 8 1/4" from handle to spout and the diameter is about 5 7/8". Condition: Excellent. There are no chips or cracks and there is no restoration. The lustre has great color, is excellent and unworn, even on the rim. The enamel is smooth, consistent and unworn with an in-the-making light spot as shown. The glaze is smooth and unworn and there is a curved spot on the bottom where the glaze was missed, again from when it was made and as shown. I just noticed a slight line of about 1/2 inch to the side of the spout which is very light and barely visible. It does not show up in the photos.
